In order for a group to truly be a group, it’s got to connect! This chemistry of connection is what separates a group from a class or any other gathering. A class is somewhere that you go to learn. A group is where you go to belong.
This video shares three distinct connections that a person in the group needs to make.
We were made to belong. Connecting with others, both in and out of the group are critical to being missional.
Do this exercise with your group to see how well your people are connecting.
Look at the person on your left and right (don’t include spouses):
- Do you know the names and ages of their kids?
- What do they do for a living?
- What is their favorite thing to do?
- Where do they hurt?
Take a moment and reflect: When was the last time one of your members brought an unsaved friend with them to the group?
What is your groups intentional plan to connect with unbelievers?
How often do you share the Gospel in the group?
