Coming up September 5, the Oklahoma Baptist Ministers of Education Association (OBMEA) are sponsoring a web conference for educations ministers, discipleship leaders, and other people who have education/discipleship responsibilities in their church. We’re calling it “ME5″, and after you see what we’re doing you will know why. The ME is fairly obvious (Minister of Education), and here is where the 5 comes from:

  • 5th of September
  • A series of 5 minute videos from Christian educators all over the nation
  • A live panel of 5 people
  • 5 hours long (10:00 – 3:00)

The web conference will be hosted right here at bobmayfield.com and we’ll have more specific information for you soon. The five people that will be joining us for the livestream on September 5 are:

  • Elmer Towns – Dean of the School of Religion, Liberty University
  • David Francis – Sunday School director for LifeWay Christian Resources
  • Allan Taylor – minister of education at FBC, Woodstock
  • Ben Pritchett – minister of education at FBC, Houston
  • and hosted by yours truly!

In addition, we have a series of 5 minute video segments from 24 educators and leaders from all over the nation, including:

There is no fee for the web conference, just plan to join us on Wednesday, September 5 from 10:00 – 3:00. Here is the schedule:

10:00 – 5 minute video segments begin (2 hours)

noon – Livestream panel

1:00 – 5 minute video segments (repeat of 10:00)

3:00 – Dismiss

We’ll also archive all of the videos so that you can reference them later or even download them to use with your group leaders or church staff.
