The next 31 days is about your group. It is not about someone else’s group, or about your church or another church. The next month is about the group that you lead. So during the next few days that we are going to spend together, focus on your group. When you look at a road map, it is important to know where you are so that you can figure out where you want to go. You need to honestly evaluate where you group is right now in their spiritual growth, and how or if they are moving forward.
Your group has a personality, it has a certain style. Take a few moments and look at your group through your own glasses. What is your group like? What is it like when you walk into your group’s room or home? Where do the people sit? Who sits by who? Who sits alone? And… very importantly, what does your group accomplish?
Identify what may be holding your group back…
Now dream a little.
What do you want your group to be like? What do you want your group meeting to be like? What kind of relationships do you want your group members to have with one another?
Our goal over the next 31 days is to make the incremental changes your group needs to make in order to move forward in their relationship with Jesus and with each other. A little later, we are even going to add some new people for your group to interact with.
Action step: Write in your journal what you would like to see happen in your group this coming year.
In fact… if you feel led, leave a comment below about what you would like to see happen in your group this coming year and encourage others…
