You have registered at ReConnectSS.com and now you are ready to begin earning badges!
Here is a bit about the badging process. First, it is fun! There is something that God put into our human nature that responds positively to rewards. Jesus talks about rewards. Second, badging is a way to break up huge amounts of information into manageable, organized pieces. Instead of having to surf through potentially hundreds, possibly even thousands of videos, badging organizes the videos around themes and makes the training better accessible. Finally, our badging process enables your church leaders to direct you to specific badges they want you to earn because it pertains to something specific they need you to learn.
When you complete certification, you receive your first badge, the “Certification Badge” which is displayed in the icon to the right. The badging menu is available by selecting the “Badges” icon in the left sidebar. A list of courses (aka – videos) by topic is available for viewing by selecting the “Full Courses Catalog” icon in the left sidebar. Most badges have three to six courses to complete the badge.
Select videos and begin viewing. When you select a badge you want to earn, you will see the video courses associated with it. Simply select a video. Most are numbered so that you will know how many courses are in the badge and what order they are in. After you have watched the video, be sure to click on the green “Mark as Read” button. If you have a comment or question, leave it in the comments field.
One great feature of ReConnectSS.com is that our course presenters receive notification when someone leaves a comment under their video. They will respond to you as soon as they can, so you are actually interacting with the presenter.
After you complete all of the requirements for a badge on ReconnectSS.com, you will see a button that says “New Badge Unlocked”. Congratulations! The badge you have just earned will automatically appear in your “Course History”, which you can reach through the navigation pane in the left sidebar.
