It's coming, beginning August 1, I am going to write a post a day for 31 straight days about practical steps you can take to have a Sunday School or small group that is just, well hopefully better. For many churches, August is the time of year that we begin preparation for a new Bible study year. If you are a pastor, let me encourage you to visit the blog each day. Also, encourage your Small Group or Sunday School leaders to visit the blog. I will include some guests on the blog on Tuesdays and Thursdays who are experts in childhood and youth ministry for leaders in those areas. The post will include articles such as how to start a new group; 5 great fellowships; how to measure effectiveness; does curriculum have a purpose; what is the purpose of an open group; how do I get my class to talk; my class is not evangelistic, what do I do; and more.
We will also have some resource give-aways during the month that will be of benefit to your leaders. Also, as other people post comments on the blog, you will be able to get a well-rounded look at each of the 31 topics.
I would encourage you to register on the blog so that you will receive email updates of blog posts. Also, encourage your leadership to register too. With the access people have at home, your leaders can pick up some ideas that might help them not only be better teachers, but better disciple-makers.
I'm looking forward to a great month of August with you,
